On friday, january 12, 2018 i fount the car seat severely smoldering on the passenger side. The care was filled with brown smoke and toxic fumes. The seat was completely burned and melted and toxic residue. Fire department put out fire with water. Car seat heater apparently did not turn off and smoldered all night. Purchased 'leather' package upgrade. Seats starting separating a year ago. Got tired of run around with dealer to make repairs. Took it to another dealer to be told seats were simulated vinyl leather. Got seats repaired out of my own pocket. No more toyota's for us!

I finally realized that the drivers side head restraint on this car is causing me chronic neck and head pain. It pushes my head forward, wrecking my posture. Sitting parked, with the headrest removed, the seat is comfortable and all the controls are within reach of my hands and feet.
