2001 Toyota Prius Oil Capacity

The 2001 Toyota Prius with the 1NZ-FXE engine takes 3.9 qt of oil, and the listed oil grade is 5W-30. These specifications apply to the engine named in the available facts; no other engine or trim figures are provided here.

Use the capacity as a reference when planning an oil change, then check the oil level and adjust as needed rather than assuming the full stated amount must be added at once. The listed grade is the recommendation shown for this engine, but the facts do not specify whether capacity varies with filter replacement or other service conditions.

The available facts give one capacity and grade for this model year, with no year-to-year or trim comparison. If you need a figure or condition not listed here, confirm it on the door jamb or in the owner's manual.
