Abs actuator broke while making a low speed turn (about 10mph). The car made an alarm sound, all the brake lights went on, and most importantly the car became sluggish and difficult to maneuver. Restarting the car made it drivable again, but i no longer have abs brakes, only standard. This part is apparently worth more than the car to replace, yet it is critically important safety equipment.

I was backing into a parking space and applied the brakes. The brakes failed and my vehicle climbed the curb, crossed the side walk, and crash into a metal fence on the other side of the side walk. The fence stopped the vehicle. Vehicle is leaking brake fluid due to a failed brake actuator. Brakes failed due to the issue. I was told there was a prior extended warranty, but i never received the notification. Toyota gave me address and it was mailed to my old home. Vehicle is now 2 months past the extended warranty date.
