Loss of braking capability when slowing over potholes and loose pavement. This has been reported in the 2010 prius - i'm here to tell you, it's not a new problem. I have a 2006 prius and it's done this since i bought it new. At first it alarmed me, now i'm used to it - hasn't bothered me enough to quit driving it or take it back to the dealer for this. My 2006 toyota prius completely loses braking when i run over rough road. This has happened since i purchased the vehicle new in march of 2006. Lose brakes momentarily when they are applied on an uneven surface such as railroad tracks, pot holes etc. Abs light flashes then braking returns as long as brake pedal stays depressed. After going over significant bumps or potholes, occasionally brakes hesitate to catch. Began within a month of purchasing vehicle.
